JUNIOR GIRLS TAKE ON THE VETS IN AN EARLY SEASON MATCH

Vets President Sue Timberlake presents Trophy to Serafima Taylor
After a promising weather forecast it turned out to be a damp, showery day but 9 Girls and 9 Vets turned out for a very enjoyable match on Sunday 16th April at Harborne Golf Club. The girls are not only very good golfers they are a pleasure to play with. Their impressive golf saw them win the match 3.5 to 1.5.
Our President, Sue Timberlake, presented The Hale/Evans Trophy to Serafima Taylor who accepted it on behalf of the girls.
The trophy was originally for the match between the girls and Warks 2nd team but not having been played for a few years has now been re-purposed for this match.
Vets colours were awarded to Sarah Thorley.
Thanks to everyone who helped organise the match,all who played and Harborne for allowing us the use of the course.
