Rene Greey Trophy played 4th October at Kenilworth Golf Club
The Rene Greey Trophy was played at Kenilworth Golf Club on Wednesday 4 October where 52 past lady Captains from 19 Warwickshire golf clubs competed in a stableford foursome format for the Cup.
Kenilworth provided volunteers and I would like to thank the Lady Captain, Bev Coleman, for her help prior to the event and making sure everything ran smoothly on the day. Roger Hughes for being our starter, Ian Griffiths for his IT skills and finally the Lady Vice Captain, Teresa Wright, who organised the ball sweep which raised a fabulous £137 for the Warwickshire Junior Girls.
Thanks also to the bar staff for looking after the ladies before and after the round, and catering staff who provided a great two course meal which everyone enjoyed. Finally, to the green staff for preparing the course for us.
The results were:
Winners: Lyn Harrison & Jane Adams from Kenilworth Golf Club with 32 points
Runners up: Patricia Hawthorn & Sheila Kane from The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club with 30 points.
