WLCGA Annual General Meeting
The 13th AGM took place on Saturday 18 November at Shirley Golf Club.
After a warm welcome from Shirley Lady Captain, Karen Johnson, and some excellent white chocolate cookies, it was down to business.

Highlights included:
- Skye Furnace handing over the captaincy to Rachel Rusted. Rachel presented Skye with a gift and thanked her for being such a fabulous Captain.
- Deb Nicholls starting her new role as 2nd team Captain.
- Rahela Gordon retiring as Junior Organiser and handing over to Alison Nicholas, MBE!
- The amalgamation of WLCGA and WLVGA. Retiring Vets President, Sue Timberlake gave an interesting talk & advised that the word Veteran has now been changed to Senior.
- Sue Timberlake being elected as County President.
- Sharon Butler being elected into the new position of Chair.
- Julie Ward appointed as Senior Captain.
- Anne Sheldon appointed as Fixtures Secretary.
- Pat Hale appointed as Junior Competitions Secretary.
- Gillian Curley, England Golf Voting Member, gave an impassioned speech about the difficulty that England Golf is having in the race to modernise golf. Please see Gillian's Report in the AGM minutes.
