The Spring Series on the Warwickshire Junior Order of Merit came to a thrilling conclusion with the last qualifying competition taking place at Rugby on Sunday, June 9th.
William Hardy (Maxstoke Park) won the Rugby Junior Open with a brilliant net 62, but he was pipped to first place in the Boys Net Spring Series by Atherstone's Harper Reay, whose fourth place was enough to secure the overall prize.
The Boys Gross category in the Spring Series was even closer with just two points separating the leading four players after eight qualifying competitions.
A sixth place finish helped Sam Price (Stratford Oaks) grab the Order of Merit by a single point from Edward Hayle (Rugby), with Miles Pegg (Stonebridge) and Kilian Sintorn (The Warwickshire) having to settle for a share of third.
Serafima Taylor (Sutton Coldfield) was crowned Girls Gross Order of Merit champion after recording her fourth victory of the season at Rugby.
Isabelle Toon (Stonebridge) maintained her excellent form with a second successive net win, and third this year, to take the Girls Net Spring Series honours.
In the nine-hole competitions at Rugby, Ollie Woodrow clinched the Boys prize on his home course with a net 30, while Anaya Sukhija (Olton) carded her first ever gross birdie on her way to winning the Girls prize thanks to a net 33.
Both players moved up the standings in the Spring Series, but they couldn't catch George Hoey (Copt Heath) and Emilia Sadler (Moor Hall), who claimed the Boys and Girls titles respectively.
All the players in the top 10 in the 18-hole Order of Merits and the top three in the nine-hole Order of Merit have earned an invite to play in the Warwickshire Junior Order of Merit Grand Final at Stratford-on-Avon on Sunday, October 6th.
