Midlands South Handicap Finals 27th August 2024 at Flackwell Heath Golf Club
Warwickshire girls V Oxfordshire Girls match was held at Flackwell Heath Golf Club where they contested for the Midland South Handicap Cup. We were grateful to Buckinghamshire County for arranging the match at Flackwell heath Golf Club.
The course was in great condition and physically challenge due to the hilly terrain. Warwickshire girls fought hard on a breezy but sunny day. The matches were very close and the two matches that went up the last hole could have gone either way. The Oxfordshire Girls pipped us by the post to take the Midland South Handicap Trophy but what a great experience and achievement it was for the Warwickshire Girls to be playing in the finals for the first time in over 10 years. This year we together have enjoyed wonderful team spirit, great camaraderie and determination and we look forward to competing for all the Midland South Trophies again next year.
