Lewine Mair to be Guest Speaker at 125th Anniversary Celebration

2025 is an exciting milestone for the Association as it is 125 years since the Countess of Warwick, along with 32 ladies and 8 affiliated clubs, formed the Warwickshire County Association making it one of 13 Counties playing matches with rules and regulations drawn up by the LGU.

So, we are planning a celebration Lunch on Wednesday 19 March at West Midlands Golf Club when, Lewine Mair, the doyenne of Women’s golf correspondents, will be the Guest Speaker.  Lewine is presently a senior writer with Global Golf Post. She covered golf, tennis and other sports for the Daily Telegraph before becoming its golf correspondent for twelve years. She became the first female President of the Association of Golf Writers and has won the Rolex award for her coverage of women’s golf. More importantly when a member of Edgbaston, Lewine played for Warwickshire as a junior and was part of the Warwickshire team who won the English Counties Championship in 1963.

We would love to see as many of you as possible and gentlemen are warmly welcome.
