OLTON TEAM WIN 9 hole ALLIANCE
The annual 9 hole competition for the Vets was played once again at North Warwickshire Golf Club on Friday 21st July 2023. Tee times were reserved from 1.00 p.m. to 3.40 with 54 players taking part and apart from two short sharp showers during the afternoon, the weather was warm and even sunny at times.
The welcome in the Clubhouse was very friendly and the course played beautifully with excellent greens. Scoring was excellent and it was very close at the end with the Olton three coming out on top. Full list of Prizewinners follows:
1st Jane FRITH, Dorothy LUCAS, Annette BUCKNALL (Olton Golf Club) - 40 points
2nd Marie SWINDELLS, Judith PEGLER, H COLE (Maxstoke Park GC and Rugby GC) - 39 points on countback from
3rd Sonya KIMBER, Mary HAWKINS, Mary FISHLEIGH (Strtatford Oaks GC) - 39 points on countback
Nearest the Line - Janet UNDERHILL (Harborne GC)
Nearest the Pin - Kelly NAYLOR (Oakridge GC)
