INTER TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS 3 SEPTEMBER 2024
The Inter Club Team Championship was held on 3 September at Stratford on Avon Golf Club where 110 players competed for Gross and Net Trophies. The format was the aggregate of 18 holes stroke play for four members of the team. Handicap allowance 95%. Maximum handicap 30.4 on the date of entry.
Unfortunately, the day started very wet and lasted most of the morning. Luckily, it cleared for the afternoon players.
Our thanks must go Hilda Craig, Simon Dennis and Liz for making the day a great success. Niddy Huxley raised an amazing £289.60 for the Warwicks hire Girls.
Chris Bromley and his team presented the course beautifully with speedy greens and challenging pins. The bar and catering staff were so helpful throughout the day.
THE WINNERS ARE:
CHIPMAN CUP TROPHY (GROSS): Kenilworth Golf Club
DAISY HARTILL TROPHY (NET): Nuneaton Golf Club - They were tied with Rugby Golf Club. To declare the winner the discounted score is brought back in and the difference between those two scores was 1 shot.
The rest of team were Janet Barnett, Marsha Button and Sandra Melling.
VERONICA ANSTEY TROPHY WINNER: Anne Parry of Stratford GC with 70 net on countback from Lucy Rigg of Olton GC and Maureen Hawkins of Nuneaton GC.
BEST GROSS SCORE WINNER: Lisa Cullinan with 76.
