FITTING END TO 2024 SEASON FOR WLCGA SENIORS' CAPTAIN!

WLCGA Seniors 3 Ball Alliance was held at West Midlands Golf Club on October 10th 2024 where 63 ladies played in the last Senior Ladies Open Competition of the season.
The sun came out making this a lovely fun finale to the season. It was wet underfoot after all of the rain in the previous few days, however the club had decided to make all of the bunkers GUR - a good decision! The course looked lovely in the sun, with the autumn colours showing in the trees. The robot mowers provided a bit of entertainment and proved to be a new experience for some of the ladies.
From the range of scores, some ladies found it more of a challenge than others, but everyone enjoyed the day.
Julie Ward, Seniors' Captain welcomed everyone and thanked ladies for taking part not only in this competition but in the opens and the seniors matches over the whole season. She thanked the West Midlands Club staff who had been very welcoming plus the volunteer helpers on the day.
Following the welcome, Julie presented the prizes as follows:
In 3rd place with 67 points were: Teresa Wright, Carolyn Coxon and Mel Kefford from Kenilworth, Staverton Park and Whitfield's respectvely
In 2nd Place with 71 points were : Jane Frith, Maggie Taylor and Donna Cornelius from Olton, Shirley and Ladbrook Park respectively - pictured above
