A cold but dry morning greeted the 33 competitors at Moor Hall GC for this years Junior Champion Club Qualifier. Teams of 3 players, boys or girls from each club would play18 holes Stableford with the best two scores from the team to count.
Moor Hall was in great condition and so we were all set to find out which club would represent Warwickshire in the 2025 finals at Woodhall Spa.
James Sinclair from Copt Heath would win the best score from a handicap index 22+ with a fine 42 points. Oliver Russell from Coventry Hearsall with 41 points of his own would secure the best score in the handicap index 13-22 bracket. In the 0-12 division, Tom Jurkowski from Ladbrook Park would secure the best individual score with a solid 37 points.
In the overall individual, there would be three players tied on 44 points. Elliot Chalis-Brown from Stonebridge was 3rd on countback, Lily Knee would take the runners up spot from Kenilworth and the winner of best individual score on the day was Matthew Dale from Kenilworth.
In the team event, Stonebridge would secure the runners up prizes with a team score of 78. But the winning team who will go to Woodhall Spa to represent Warwickshire were the team of Matthew Dale, Lily Knee and Alastair Cirin of Kenilworth Golf Club with a fantastic 88 points.
Thank you to Moor Hall for hosting this event, presenting the course in such fantastic condition and affording us such a warm welcome throughout the day.
