Following on from last year's mixed fourball competition, Julie Ward (Lady Captain) and I made the decision we would continue with the same format.
The draw for the pairings was made after we consumed a full English breakfast and coffee in the lounge before the first tee-off time of 12.30 am.
With The Welcombe GC in great condition, surprisingly dry under foot, with the greens running smoothly and a dry day forecast, it promised to be a thoroughly enjoyable day.
The scoring was very close on the day with four teams finishing with 39 Stableford points…..
Adrian G and Deb R just pipped Mark R and Carol on countback (last 6 holes).
I guess Deb had the bragging rights on the way home in the Reynolds car!
