Arianna has enjoyed an outstanding few weeks in Scotland! Many of you will have seen on Facebook that she won the Under-Rated event with a score of -2 after 2 rounds but she has done far more than just this! Winning the Under-Rated means she has qualified to play in the Curry Cup at the Liberty National Golf Club near New York City!
This week she played in the Robert Rock Scottish Links WAGR Championship which comprised of 3 days over 3 different courses. She won the Girls under 21 with a truly outstanding overall score of -10! She had a level par round at Monifieth, a -4 round at Fairmont Kittocks and a -6 round at Fairmont Torrance!
Last week she played in the Carnoustie Junior Open Girls Scratch under 18. In very windy and challenging conditions she managed a +4 but it was the best score of the day so another win! This score matched the best boys score but she lost to him on count back.
Previously she had played in the St Andrews Junior Open under 23 Championship and qualified in the top 8 again in 40- 50 mph winds! She went on to reach the quarter finals but lost to a 21 year old Scottish National player.
I feel I have run out of exclamation marks as this has been an exceptional few weeks for her in Scotland. What outstanding results for Arianna who is still only 15!
All of these achievements have made England, if they hadn't already, realise her talent and she is delighted to have been selected to play for England against Scotland at Pannal GC on the 19th August!
She is delighted, her family are and without any doubt, we in Warwickshire are too! Arianna you have made us very proud!
