Apart from rain for the first half hour or so, the Summer Meeting was played at Stoneleigh Deer Park GC in bright warm sunshine. Date was Monday 20th August and 26 Teams of 4 players set out in the Summer Four Ball Am/AM, with the best 2 scores to count out of the 4 players, the competition being a Stableford
The 2nd Team out set the standard with a combined score of 76 points and they waited all day to see if they were to be beaten. In the end they triumphed by just one point, with the results listed below:
1st Team: Glenys CHORLEY, Lynne PEARSON, Kathy HOBBS and Linda GUMERY (all from Shirley GC) - 76 points
2nd Team: Elaine KENDALL, Janice EDWARDS, Karen McCRACKEN and Inga ADLINGTON (all from Coventry Hearsall GC) - 75 points
3rd Team: Gill WINSTANLEY, Angela ASHLEY, Kay PARMEE and Michelle PENDREY (all from the The Warwickshire G & CC) - 74 points (on the back 9 from)
4th Team: Elizabeth SHEEHAN, Jackie ROBINSON (both from Stratford-on-Avon GC) and Diana BEST & Penny SINGLETON (both of Ladbrook Park GC) - 74 points
5th Team: Rose TAYLOR, Pauline VALE, Susie ADAMS and Mandy COOPER (all from Ladbrook Park GC) - 72 points
